What to bring

I think most of us are familiar with the quote “There is no such thing as bad weather, just unsuitable clothing.”

Beach kinder will run all year round and as the seasons change, it is a great way to build resilience against weather. There is still so much to see, do and enjoy and I aim to modify the activities to reflect this.

To enjoy the sessons as much as possible it is important to come prepared and dress appropriately.

Sun Smart During Summer

Sun hats and sunscreen are essential and during warmer weather. Shorts and a long sleeve like a rash vest is ideal for jumping and chasing waves.

* Children have the chance to get wet up to their knees and they have a great time wadding, splashing and running in and out of the water (please note no swimming during sessions).

Cooler Months

During the cooler month’s long pants, long sleeves, warm jumper, beanie and water proof jacket and or pants are great.

The sand can get cold on your toes, so gum boots are great to still have a splash around the water’s edge and fill up a bucket.

Our little ones love getting wet and sandy. So please make sure you bring a change of warm clothing so they can stay for the full session.

Water bottle and snack
We all know that little ones need fuel to keep them going. At the end of the session, we finish with a book and they like to have a snack together on the mat.

The wind off the water is normally cooler so always bring layers to adjust your own and your little bodies temperature.

I will provide sunscreen and freshwater to top up your own bottle.
